The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Boris Chernyshov and State Duma deputy Alena Arshinova.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, he noted the good dynamics of Kyrgyzstan-Russia relations, emphasizing that the Russian Federation is a reliable and key partner on issues of regional security, trade, economic and cultural development.
Akylbek Japarov thanked the Russian non-profit organization Eurasia for the initiative to provide 50 school buses for children of Kyrgyzstan in the form of a grant.
According to the head of the Cabinet, in recent years Kyrgyzstan has launched large-scale and historic projects jointly with Russia — the construction of nine general education institutions, a campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, a branch of Moscow State University in Karakol, the launch of Russian Teacher Abroad program, and the quota for budget-funded places in higher educational institutions of Russia for students is also being increased.
Boris Chernyshov noted the importance of implementing previously reached agreements between the leaders of the two countries, further developing and strengthening bilateral relations.
An agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Eurasia ANO on cooperation in preserving and strengthening traditional values in the Eurasian space.
The parties will launch joint programs in the humanitarian and cultural spheres, including projects to preserve the traditions of peoples, languages, develop healthcare, science, education, information and mass communications, sports, tourism and work with youth.
