National Teacher Reserve Portal to be launched in Kyrgyzstan

A portal for the formation of a national reserve of teachers is being created in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Minister of Education and Science for Digital Development Lira Samykbaeva told 24.kg news agency.

According to her, the system is being tested on 150 teachers.

«Many people know about the LinkedIn portal for professionals, where people post their CVs so that they can apply for vacancies. The principle is the same here. The teachers will have to fill out their portfolio themselves, including a photo, places of study and work, trainings, workshops, and so on. An additional module has been developed — «Vacancies in Schools», which allows job seekers to find a job. By clicking «Submit» button, the director immediately receives a СV,» Lira Samykbaeva told.

She noted the importance of such a portal.

«Let’s say a school has announced a vacancy for a teacher, we see who has submitted a CV, we can open each and look at the teacher’s qualifications. Moreover, we see whom the director has chosen. Because very often the scheme for selecting personnel by the director remains unclear, they can choose, for example, relatives or someone else. This is how we want to ensure transparency in the selection of specialists. Unfortunately, we have teachers who have not been able to find employment in some schools for years,» the deputy minister explained.

Lira Samykbaeva added that a ranked list of teachers is automatically created based on the CVs.

«Another of the biggest problems is awarding. Thanks to the portal, all teachers see each other in real time. This way, it will be known who is applying for an award,» she noted.

It is expected that teachers will have to register in the national reserve system in pilot mode by the end of the year.
