Russian company to build Baytik Mountain Resort, agreement signed

Russian companies intend to participate in the implementation of the project on construction of Baytik Mountain Resort in Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding agreement was signed by the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vasta Discovery LLC and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). The press service of Vasta Discovery reported.

«The project of the future resort includes 15 cable cars, 36 ski trails with a total length of more than 57 kilometers, four tourist villages and a ski complex that meets the requirements for holding international competitions of the highest level, including the Olympic Games and World Cup stages in ski disciplines and snowboarding,» Talantbek Imanov, director of the specialized agency, told at the signing ceremony.

The development and construction of Baytik Mountain Resort will be carried out by Vasta Discovery company, which has extensive experience in implementation of large-scale tourism projects and integrated development of territories.

«Participation in the Russian-Kyrgyz project on creation of Baytik Mountain Resort is very important for our company. We are confident that the resort will be in demand within the country, as well as become an important point of attraction for foreign tourists to Kyrgyzstan, who will be able not only to relax in hotels, on the ski slopes and hiking trails of the resort, but also enjoy the beauty of the Chu Valley and the mountains of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too,» Vasta Discovery CEO Sergei Bachin said.

In accordance with the signed memorandum, the EDB will act as a creditor of the project. Sergei Ignatov, Senior Managing Director of EDB, emphasized that Baytik Mountain Resort project not only has a pronounced integration potential, but also ensures the development of an important industry for the republic’s economy — tourism.

Talantbek Imanov said that the creation of the mountain resort would be the first and so far the only tourism infrastructure interstate Russian-Kyrgyz project. The memorandum also provides for cooperation between the parties in the development, construction and operation of ski clusters in Kyrgyzstan, including attracting investment, developing infrastructure and providing favorable conditions for tourists.

Vasta Discovery is a development company, which is engaged in the development of the tourism industry in Russia and implements large-scale tourism projects. The company’s portfolio includes such integrated territory development projects as Zavidovo, Yaroslavskoye Vzmorye and Onekotan Archipelago resorts.
