Kyrgyzstan will be represented by 268 athletes at the World Nomad Games, which will be held in September in Kazakhstan. Acting head of the Directorate for National Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenishbek Nurchoro uulu told at a press conference.
The national team will include representatives of national sports, coaches, and officials.
Kyrgyzstanis will take part in competitions in kok-boru, kok-paru, at chabysh, alysh bel boo kurosh, salbuurun, tayak-tartysh. In total, competitions in 20 sports will take place at the Games.
According to Zhenishbek Nurchoro uulu, all teams are complete and are undergoing the first stage of training.
The V World Nomad Games will be held in Astana from September 8 to September 14. More than 100 countries and about 4,000 athletes are expected to participate in the Games. In 2014, 2016 and 2018, the World Games were held in Kyrgyzstan, and in 2022 — in Turkey.
