Center for Development of Clinical Skills opened at KSMA

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov took part in the opening of the Center for Development of Clinical Skills and Knowledge Testing at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Isa Akhunbaev (KSMA). The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Akylbek Japarov, opening the event, reminded that the wages of medical workers will be increased by decree of the president.

«Salary of medical staff from September 1 will be increased by 50 percent, mid-level medical staff — by 20 percent, junior — by 10 percent. From July 1, clinical residents and doctors-interns will be provided with stipends of 20,000 soms. Doctors working under the program of additional incentives in health care organizations located in remote areas, small towns and rural areas will receive a quarterly deposit of 66,000 soms, paid on a contractual basis. Compensatory payment of 20,000 soms is provided for doctors of emergency medical services in Bishkek and Osh,» he said and congratulated the participants of the event on the upcoming Day of Medical Worker.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the higher education institution should provide not only education, but also have a direct impact on social, economic and cultural development of the region where it is located. According to him, serious work has begun in this direction, citing the example of Osh State University, where a robotics center was opened together with a Chinese company with an investment of $7 million, as well as the Osh City Hospital was transferred to the educational institution.

A modern clinic is currently under construction. In addition, the Makerspace Learning Center was opened at the American University of Central Asia, where new engineering projects and solutions will be developed.

«One of the country’s first modern Centers for Development of Clinical Skills is being opened today, which will create the best environment for students. It has modern equipment for operations, artificial manikin-simulators for practice and consolidation of skills,» Akylbek Japarov said.

He added that the construction of another medical training and treatment clinical base is being completed in Batken region. The institution has all modern conditions, the construction of a dormitory for students with 200 beds and a multidisciplinary hospital has been completed. An opening ceremony is expected in September.
