Russia transfers 121.4 tons of food to Kyrgyzstan

Russia has transferred 121.4 tons of food to Kyrgyzstan. The humanitarian aid was donated by the Russian Federation «to the population in the south of the country.»

The food shipment of 121.4 tons was delivered to Osh, the Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

«Another batch of food aid in the form of vegetable oil with a total volume of 121.4 tons was delivered to the city of Osh on the eve of Russia Day,» the statement says.

The humanitarian aid was donated by the Russian Federation «to the population of the south of the country» through the UN World Food Program.

«Representatives of the Russian Consulate General in Osh took part in the transfer of food,» the message says.

This is not the first food shipment delivered to Kyrgyzstan from Russia in the form of aid through UN. In April, 337.5 tons of enriched wheat flour and 60.7 tons of vegetable oil were delivered to the republic from Russia.
