A team of climbers from Kyrgyzstan has climbed Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The President of the Mountaineering Federation of the republic Eduard Kubatov announced on Instagram.
«There were 16 of us Kyrgyz on this great mountain! And this is a new climbing record! I am proud immensely of the strength of spirit and will! These severe weather conditions were the most difficult for the last 10 years of climbing in Africa! An expedition for the glory of the country and our mountaineering! Congratulations on new mountain, friends!» he posted.
Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest stratovolcano in northeastern Tanzania, and the continent’s highest point at 5,895 meters above sea level.
