The owner of KG Group construction company, Imamidin Tashov, will be prosecuted for attempted coup d’etat. Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) Kamchybek Tashiev stated at a meeting of the Parliament.
Deputy Meikinbek Abdaliev asked the head of the security services about the incident that occurred with the businessman from whom, according to him, unknown people demanded 100 million soms.
The businessman posted a video message on Tuesday, in which he stated that he was kidnapped by unknown persons, posing as employees of the SCNS, he was kept locked up for several days and demanded money.
According to Kamchybek Tashiev, yesterday the president called him and asked about 100 million soms.
«I began finding out what was going on and contacted the general director of the KG Group construction company, Imamidin Tashov, who posted on the Web that he was forced to pay 52 million soms at the desk, and 100 million soms were demanded from him off the books. Having received the consent of the court, we recorded the conversations of Imamidin Tashov. I’ll tell you why we detained him. Residents of a high-rise building in Bishkek contacted me. They complained that they could not obtain documents and asked to take action against Tashov. We called him for a conversation, the residents’ complaints were confirmed, and we detained Tashov. He paid 52 million soms in form of support to Bishkek. As for 100 million, Tashov says that this amount was demanded from him by the SCNS employees,» the head of the security services said.
He added that the security services recorded a conversation between Tashov and Tilekmat Kurenov, where they were drawing up plans for a coup. They had discussed this issue for several days.
«Despite this, after he paid 52 million soms, we released Tashov, but continued to monitor him. In a conversation they say «tell that they demanded 100 million soms from you, people will believe you, you just need to excite them.» Yesterday he posted another video on the Internet, and today we put Tashov on the wanted list. Sooner or later we will detain him and bring him to justice for preparing for a coup. I would like to address Imamidin Tashov, who, like Tilekmat, switched to video messages, someday he will be held accountable for everything,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
A video message from Imamidin Tashov was published on social media on Tuesday, where he said that he was «kidnapped in a gangster-style,» kept in captivity and demanded, in addition to the 52 million soms already transferred to state revenue, another 100 million «into another pocket.»
«You see and hear for yourself how many of our colleagues, construction workers, were detained and released after paying the money. They gave three times more than the sums that are announced on the Internet (official information from the SCNS. — Note of 24.kg news agency). How can we talk about investments if you put pressure on entrepreneurs? Moreover, you put them in jail, take away their money, as well as threaten their health and life,» Imamidin Tashov also said.
