President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov took part in an informal meeting of leaders of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the city of St. Petersburg (Russia). The press service of the head of state reported.
The informal meeting began at the museum with a guided tour of the famous palace and park areas of the Pavlovsk nature reserve; the leaders visited Tsarskoe Selo and Peterhof.
The introductory tour was attended by the Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Next, the CIS leaders headed to Konstantinovsky Palace. Russian President Vladimir Putin made a welcoming speech, expressing his gratitude to everyone for accepting the invitation and coming to St. Petersburg for the traditional informal New Year’s Eve meeting.
