Foreigners with drugs worth 15 million soms detained near Bishkek

Foreigners with drugs were detained near Bishkek. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.

Another channel for the supply and distribution of synthetic drugs was suppressed.

Two young foreigners (20 and 21 years old) were detained on the road Ak-Zhol — Avtodorozhny — Bishkek near Konstantinovka village. They had mephedrone with a total weight of 2.8 kilograms.

«The market price per gram of the substance is 6,000 soms. The value of the seized is about 15 million soms, or $168,000,» the SCNS said.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 282 (Illegal manufacture, storage, transportation, sending for the purpose of sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues in large quantities) of the Criminal Code.

The detained foreigners were taken to the detention center of the SCNS.
