Helplines for reports of brothels start working in Bishkek

Helplines, through which you can report information about brothels, started working in Sverdlovsky and Pervomaisky district administrations of Bishkek. Information about this was posted on Facebook by district administrations.

It is noted that the work is being carried out to fulfill the instructions of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.

The administration of Sverdlovsky district reported that they had started conducting raids to detect, suppress and liquidate the activities of brothels providing sexual services. All saunas and places from which operational reports are received will be checked.

«Checks will be carried out in an intensified mode until complete eradication. Based on the results, the responsibility of the persons who organized the provision of these services and the owners of establishments will be considered,» the administration noted.

District administrations ask to report of brothels using the following numbers:

Pervomaisky district: 0505041208, 0312661537, 0312325160;

Sverdlovsky district: 0312531351, 0312531329, 0312360133.

 The head of the State Committee for National Security also warned government agencies about suppression of illegal activities on organizing various entertainment establishments, bathhouse complexes and brothels that provide citizens with intimate services. He warned that if such institutions continue to operate, the heads of local government and law enforcement agencies will be fired. Kamchybek Tashiev also promised to show faces deputies and officials who go to brothels and use intimate services.

Earlier, the press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported that brothels operated in Bishkek and the Chui region under the guise of karaoke clubs. It was noted that ten brothels were detected in the capital that worked under the guise of massage parlors. The state committee distributed video and photographs in which the faces of the detainees were not hidden. Some photographs clearly show the personal information of women brought to law enforcement agencies.

The Ombudsman’s Institute of Kyrgyzstan called on government agencies to ensure compliance with the rights of women detected by the State Committee for National Security in brothels. It recalled that the publication of photos of women and the disclosure of their personal data are a violation of their rights established by law.
