«Everything will be calm, there will be no crime by 2026. Neither Raiymbek Matraimov nor Dzhengo will rule the country,» Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiev, said at a meeting of Parliament.
In the fight against organized crime groups, he said, the State Committee employees are clearly fulfilling their tasks.
«If Kyrgyzstan used to be called an island of democracy, now, by fighting crime, we will turn the republic into an island of legality. To date, we have handed over more than $200 million in property and money to the state from the fight against crime. We handed over to the state Aiperi salon, which the criminals had turned into their hideout. The building was valued at $20-25 million. Cristal factory in Tash-Kumyr was also taken over by organized crime groups. All profitable enterprises have a share of the criminal world. Yesterday we found an enterprise, where Kamchi Kolbaev invested $10 million. His associates returned the funds in cash. Someone handed over $12 million, another is going to return $30 million. We will transfer every penny of this money to the special account of the SCNS. My employees clearly fulfill the order not to take a single penny of these funds. If anyone violates the order, I will fire them. Yesterday I dismissed three such employees. One of them received a bribe of $28,000, while another was an intermediary in the transfer of $82,000 from investors,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
He asked the Cabinet of Ministers for money to increase the salaries of his employees.
«We ask for about 400 million soms. At the same time, we return billions to the state. I do not need wealth, a post. I need legality. I will make sure that the crime boss Dzhengo does not continue his criminal activities. I remind you, he abandoned the organized crime group on camera, but continues his dirty work. I’ve been preparing to fight crime for two years. By 2026, everything will be calm, there will be no crime. Neither Raiymbek Matraimov nor Dzhengo will rule the country,» the head of the SCNS concluded.
