Kimchi 2023 Festival is taking place in Bishkek. The press service of the City Hall reports.
The festival was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kyrgyzstan.
The event takes place on the alley in front of the Kurmanjan Datka monument.
The City Hall noted that the culture of making kimchi received the status of an intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO in 2013.
Kimchi is a Korean dish consisting of highly seasoned pickled (fermented) vegetables, primarily Chinese cabbage. Most often, pickled heads or cruciferous leaves are seasoned with red pepper, green onions and onion juice, garlic and ginger.
