The nephew of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Ulan, accused of corruption, was placed under house arrest. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
It is clarified that the investigator of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs asked to change the preventive measure until the end of the investigation, that is, until November 26. Previously, the accused was held in correctional facility No. 21.
The relative of Sadyr Japarov is accused under the article «Corruption» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The case is being investigated by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Ulan Japarov is the son of Rakymzhan Japarov, the cousin of Sadyr Japarov.
«Let this be a lesson for the rest of my relatives,» the country’s president previously told reporters, commenting on the detention of his nephew.
