Japan to donate modern equipment to four healthcare organizations

Four healthcare organizations will receive modern equipment as part of the Japanese Government’s Grass Roots and Human Security Grant Programme. The press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The following hospitals will receive the assistance:

  • General Medical Practice Center of At-Bashi district — a laparoscope with equipment totaling $86,697;
  • Family Doctors Group 11 of Aksy General Medical Practice Center — stationary ultrasound machine for $58,197;
  • City Children’s Clinical Emergency Medical Care Hospital — children’s anesthesia-respiratory device and ventilators for children and newborns for a total amount of $85,947;
  • Uch-Korgon General Medical Practice Center — laparoscope with equipment totaling $89,667.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Goda Hideki noted that under this Grant Programme, the Kyrgyzstan’s healthcare system has received assistance in the amount of more than $12 million since 1996.
