Kyrgyzstan to receive 1,000 quotas for study at Russian universities

Kyrgyzstan will be allocated 1,000 targeted quotas for study at universities in the Russian Federation for the 2024-2025 academic year through Rossotrudnichestvo. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov said at the 10th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference.

The head of the Cabinet noted that it is cooperation in the field of education that will become the basis and feeding for comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, including industrial one.

He recalled the start of construction of three of nine planned schools with Russian language of instruction in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol, each of which is designed for 1,224 students. Russia’s investments will amount to $500 million.

«A decree has been signed on the creation of a branch of the Mikhail Lomonosov Moscow State University in Karakol city,» Akylbek Japarov said.
