Wanted director of Ayu plant, Tynybek Isaev, was detained in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
A relative of the holding’s founder Sharshenbek Abdykerimov, who was wanted, was also detained, but he was placed under house arrest.
In September, by a decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, the petition of an investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was granted against the owner of Ayu Holding, Sharshenbek Abdykerimov, accused of illegal production of alcohol.
It is clarified that he was arrested in absentia and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him.
Sharshenbek Abdykerimov is one of the richest people in Kyrgyzstan. He created Ayu Holding, which includes more than 50 companies. In April 2023, based on the collected materials, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under Article 240 «Illegal production of alcohol and alcohol-containing beverages» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Three employees were detained: the General Director of Tokmok Bulls CJSC, the head of security at the distillery and the chief technologist.
