At least 200 schools are not connected to the Internet in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Education and Science reported.
According to the Ministry, 2,172 out of the country’s 2,372 schools have Internet access.
The issues of providing schools in remote areas with Internet, increasing Internet speed, creation and maintenance of local network and Wi-Fi for access to information systems of the Ministry of Education and Science were discussed by the Education Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Director General of Kyrgyztelecom OJSC Nurlan Madaminov, Commercial Director of the OJSC Kubanychbek Baratbaev and its Technical Director Myrzabek Shadybekov.
«As a result of the meeting, a working group was formed, which included technical specialists to fulfill the outlined tasks,» the ministry added.
