Capsule for construction of waste processing plant to be laid in November

Bishkek Mayor Emilbek Abdykadyrov told about the progress of the project on construction of a waste processing plant at a meeting of the Parliament.

According to him, the City Hall has already installed concrete fences on 75 hectares of land at the city landfill.

«Barbed wire has been put up. Special machinery reclaims the waste. Therefore, there is no smoke at the landfill,» the mayor said.

He noted that the landfill was mainly used to burn garment waste.

«We have more than a thousand textile workshops. We draw up a contract with them for garbage removal. We bought a furnace in Russia for 14 million soms, in which we will burn sewing waste,» Emilbek Abdykadyrov informed.

He noted that laying of the capsule for the construction of the waste processing plant will take place in November.

In March, the Bishkek City Hall signed a protocol of cooperation with the Czech consortium of companies HDT Impex s.r.o. and ReGreen s.r.o. and a roadmap for the implementation of a joint investment project on construction of a waste processing complex for $45 million.
