Batken city hosted the next joint meeting of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border on Monday. Website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan says.
The delegation of Tajikistan was reportedly headed by the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Saimumin Yatimov, the delegation of Kyrgyzstan was headed by the head of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Kamchybek Tashiev.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the issue of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
The heads of the security services of the two countries, having expressed full mutual understanding about the need to intensify further description of the passage of the project line of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border in the remaining sections, gave appropriate instructions to the working groups.
«Topographic working groups and working groups on legal issues of the government delegations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border will continue to work on describing the project line of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border in the remaining sections,» the statement says.
During the meeting, the need to strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the border regions, as well as the continuation of active work on cooperation between the border regions and regions of the two states was also particularly noted. A protocol was signed following the results of the joint meeting.
