The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan announced the start of the annual Women’s Health month’s campaign.
As the press center noted, the campaign is held with the support of the Swiss project «Effective management and prevention of non-communicable diseases in Kyrgyzstan.»
«Women play a vital role in the family and society, so prioritizing women’s health contributes not only to individual well-being, but also to the strengthening and healing of the entire society. Women’s Health month’s campaign, held throughout the country, is aimed at supporting primary prevention and early detection of non-communicable diseases in women,» the Ministry of Health reported.
The central elements of the campaign will be informing the population about the prevention and risk factors of non-communicable diseases (such as alcohol, smoking, unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle) and providing quality medical services at the primary health care level.
«Women’s Health month’s campaign will be held annually in October, and all primary health care organizations will conduct examination and consult women without making an appointment,» the ministry said.
