Deputies of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan intend to check the readiness of energy facilities for the heating season. Such a proposal was made at a meeting of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy.
Deputy Zamirbek Mamasadykov noted the low water level in Toktogul reservoir. «There is about 2 billion cubic meters less. The situation is not very good,» he said.
His colleague Marat Murataliev offered to get acquainted with the work of the HPP.
«An emergency situation was declared in the energy sector. Bala-Saruu HPP was supposed to be built last year, but it has not been completed yet. There is no water in the reservoirs. Why? Where did the water go? Lots of questions,» he said.
