Preventive measure has been changed for three more defendants in the so-called Kempir-Abad case, held in Bishkek’s pre-trial detention center 1. Lawyer Erkin Sadanbekov told.
According to him, the hearing was held in Bishkek City Court. Ali Shabdanov, Erlan Bekchoro uulu and Akyl Aitbaev were placed under house arrest.
In total, 11 people remain in custody.
The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs. Mass arrests began on October 23. Authorities placed 27 people in jail on charges of preparing for riots.
