First Deputy Supreme Mufti of Russia Damir Mukhetdinov arrived in Bishkek. Press service of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) reports.
Damir Mukhetdinov is accompanied by an assistant to the Russian Mufti Ilyas Sadulin. The first deputy head of the SDMK Samidin Atabaev welcomed the guests.
As noted, they will take part in the opening of a new building of the muftiyat next to the republican mosque named after Imam Sarakhsi on Zhibek Zholu Avenue. It was built at the expense of the former deputy chairman of the Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov, who was found guilty of corruption by the court.
The ex-customs officer also received a letter of thanks from the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Zamir Rakiev.
