Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariev met with representatives of Alibaba — the world’s largest online company. Press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Issues of cooperation were discussed. Alibaba representatives expressed willingness to expand their platform, providing an opportunity for businessmen from Kyrgyzstan to join it. This includes free training, a visit to the head office and privileges in the form of a 10 percent discount from the global bank.
«The Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to compile a list of potential participants and send it to the company. Alibaba plans to actively invest in the development of Kyrgyzstan. The company expressed interest in opening its representative office and logistics center in the country. This could be of great importance for the development of e-commerce and delivery infrastructure in the region. The promising initiative allows to expect strengthening of economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Alibaba, as well as creation of favorable conditions for business development and cooperation on mutually beneficial terms,» the statement says.
