The son of ex-prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Dzhoomart Otorbaev, Kurman, refuted the information about the attack on him. He told about it to 24.kg news agency.
According to Kurman Otorbaev, on July 9, he really was in Chaika resort. However, no one attacked him and he did not go to the hospital.
«There really was a conflict. I was there as a representative of Chaika. After the incident, we called security. The next day I was interrogated as a witness. Perhaps, someone was wounded there, but not me,» Kurman Otorbaev said.
Earlier, the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported that a man turned to the police, who told that an unknown person beat him, and wounded his 38-year-old friend with a sharp object in his right leg on July 9 at about 3.40 a.m. in Chaika guest house. Both victims were taken to the regional hospital. A criminal case had been initiated under the article «Hooliganism» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A previously convicted resident of Cholpon-Ata village, 28, was detained.
