Border guards of Leilek border detachment prevented smuggling of goods across the state border. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported.
Border guards and employees of the SCNS detained two Mercedes Benz cars on the section of the road between Muras and Dostuk villages in Leilek district.
During the inspection, they found a cargo — fabrics, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes, microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners without permits.
According to preliminary data, the cost of the cargo amounted to more than 1,205 million soms.
The detained drivers and cargoes were handed over to the employees of the competent authorities for further investigation.
