Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Minister of National Education of Turkey Yusuf Tekin. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
The parties noted the high level of relations between the fraternal countries, which is associated with historical roots and the proximity of cultural values.
«Topical issues of bilateral Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere were separately discussed, in particular, the process of agreeing on a protocol providing for sending teachers of the Kyrgyz language and literature, music and folk handicrafts to the village of Uluu Pamir in Van province, as well as an agreement on cooperation in the field of education,» the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Ruslan Kazakbaev positively noted the activities of the educational institution of the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Kyrgyzstan and expressed hope for the opening of additional schools in all regions of the country. The Kyrgyz side, taking into account the extensive experience of the Turkish side, expressed interest in establishing Kyrgyz-Turkish professional lyceums in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In turn, Yusuf Tekin expressed readiness to promote joint projects in the field of education and noted that the Turkish side is ready to study the issues proposed by the Kyrgyz side.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on mutual visits of the heads of ministries to Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the near future.
