"Smart" city for $2 billion planned to be built in Osh

It is planned to build a «smart» city for $2 billion in Osh city. Press service of the City Hall reported.

A meeting on the administrative-territorial reform of Osh was held in the City Hall.

At the meeting, the participants were presented with projects that will be implemented within the framework of the resolution «On the master plan of Osh city for the period until 2025.»

According to it, it is planned to build a «smart» Osh City in the southern capital. The project will be implemented through investments, and the city will be designed for 250,000 people.

The authorities plan to build 500 high-rise buildings, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, parks and public gardens there.

It is expected that 4 billion soms will go to the state budget from Osh City taxes, and 250 million soms — to the local budget.

According to the City Hall, the territory of Osh will be expanded in the future, and the population will increase to 1 million people.

A number of other major investment projects were also proposed at the meeting, such as the construction of a new industrial and commercial zone, microdistricts within the city and a municipal market with an area of 32 hectares.
