A system of online registration of foreign citizens has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Minister of Digital Development Zhazgul Kiyizbayeva told at a press conference.
According to her, the Unified System of External Migration Registration is integrated with more than five ministries and administrative agencies, including the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and the Border Service.
Zhazgul Kiyizbayeva noted that foreigners will now be able to register on the website of the Department of Population Registration.
«The receiving party is obliged to submit an application for registration of a foreign citizen. It can be a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic or a foreigner who owns residential or non-residential premises in our country. Registration of citizens in hotels, hostels and dormitories for students is now allowed. In order to apply, a Kyrgyzstani must go to the website of the Department of Population Registration and authorize. The authorization procedure is easy. You just need to enter your personal identification number, e-mail address and contact information,» Zhazgul Kiyizbayeva told.
She noted that after confirmation a code for payment of state duty of 120 soms is formed within 24 hours. «The aim of the project is to reduce to zero all kinds of corruption risks during registration, improve the accounting of external migration and accelerate the transition to digital service format,» Zhazgul Kiyizbaeva said.
The project was developed by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, the SCNS and the Tourism Development Support Fund in Kyrgyzstan.
