Only 15 percent of people in Kyrgyzstan are satisfied with the way democracy is developing. Results of the national survey conducted by the International Republican Institute say.
The survey was conducted from May 5 to May 25, 2023. It involved 1,492 Kyrgyzstanis aged 18 and older.
This figure was 13 percent in September 2022.
At least 45 percent of the respondents recognized the fact that democracy is the best form of government for the Kyrgyz Republic.
In September 2022, about 46 percent recognized democracy as the best form of government for Kyrgyzstan. The highest rate was in September and March 2021 — 53 percent. The lowest was in July 2021 — 44 percent.
