Security services, together with police officers, searched the houses of local residents in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
The search was reportedly carried out at 13 addresses.
«Based on the results of operational and investigative measures, 142 cases of distribution of books, leaflets, brochures, as well as 38 electronic data storage devices, USB drives, CDs and 28 mobile phones were detected. According to the conclusion of the theological examination, materials of an extremist nature published by Hizb ut-Tahrir terrorist organization were found in them. Criminal cases have been initiated under the article «Manufacture, distribution of extremist materials» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the SCNS said.
