Tursunbek Akun proposes to solve all political confrontations through dialogue

All political battles and confrontations must be resolved through dialogue and discussion. Tursunbek Akun, the head of Towards Consolidation and Dialogue movement, stated at the National Congress «Consolidation through Dialogue».

He calls on the country’s authorities to abandon the political persecution of opponents and civil activists.

«The detained activists in Kempir-Abad case are asking to hold the court hearing openly. The National Congress at the last meeting adopted a resolution asking the authorities to place all those detained for political reasons under house arrest. We must learn to resolve all disagreements through dialogue. Why should we initiate a case against Adakhan Madumarov now? There is no point in reopening the case on Osh events,» Tursunbek Akun believes.

The National Congress is held for the sixth time. According to the participants, there was no response from the authorities to any of the demands of the adopted resolutions.

This time, deputies of the Parliament, employees of the presidential administration and members of the Cabinet of Ministers were invited to the meeting. Only the Secretary of the Security Council, Marat Imankulov, came.
