Wildberries plans to build logistics center in Kyrgyzstan

Wildberries is interested in building a large logistics center in Chui region. It was announced during a meeting of the founder of the marketplace, Tatyana Bakalchuk, with the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov.

24.kg news agency learned from its own sources that an official letter from the company was sent to the Cabinet of Ministers at the end of March. Wildberries wants to build a large logistics distribution center in Kyrgyzstan. To do this, the company wants to rent or buy without bidding a plot of land with an area from 15 to 30 hectares. It should be no more than 25 kilometers away from Bishkek and close to the main transport routes.

The company guarantees the construction of a warehouse with an area of 50,000 square meters, an investment of 3.5 billion rubles and creation of at least 2,500 jobs.

The Cabinet of Ministers has only now officially said that they have been negotiating with Wildberries over the rent or purchase of a land plot. Akylbek Japarov noted that «the doors of the heads of state bodies are open for investors,» and instructed the presidential envoy to Chui region to propose several options for the construction of the logistics center.

Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in an E-commerce Development Forum, which will be held in Bishkek on Friday.
