Meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in narrow format took place in Sochi. Kyrgyzstan was represented by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov.
After the welcoming ceremony, handshake and joint photographing, the heads of delegations moved to the meeting room for discussion in a narrow format.
The Heads of Government of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) discussed the implementation of the first package of measures for cooperation between the EAEU states within the framework of the climate agenda, further development of the integrated information system and the digital agenda of the Union.
The Eurasian Economic Commission informed the members of the Intergovernmental Council about the results of monitoring of implementation of the plan of priority measures for the digitalization of freight rail transportation in the interests of developing trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and its member countries, on the one hand, and the PRC, on the other.
Members of the Intergovernmental Council were also informed about the results of intrastate coordination in the states of the Union and finalization of the draft amendments to the technical regulation of the Customs Union on Food Safety and a set of documents to it.
In addition, issues related to conducting an experiment on the use of electronic navigation seals, functioning of the internal market of the EAEU, creation and development of transport infrastructure in the countries of the Union in the directions «East-West» and «North-South», including as part of the interface with the Chinese One Belt, One Road initiative were considered.
Representatives of the commission also reported to the Intergovernmental Council on the action plan for the development of electronic document management at maritime checkpoints of the Union states for 2023-2025; monitoring the assessment of the regulatory impact of draft EEC decisions in 2022; annual report of the commission on the state of competition in cross-border markets and measures taken to curb violations of the general rules of competition in them for the past year was presented.
In conclusion, the time and place of the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was announced.
