An inspection has been launched on the fact of mass death of fish in Chu river. Press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported.
«Employees of Sokuluk district veterinary department took pathological materials from fish and water samples at the scene. All materials were sent to the Republican Veterinary Laboratory to determine the causes of fish death. The results will be known after three days. We kindly ask local residents to refrain from eating the fish until the reasons are clarified,» the statement says.
Earlier, local residents found a lot of dead fish in Chu river in Sokuluk district. They believe that chemicals from farmers’ fields got into the water.
