The Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and its Board are working as usual. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported.
It is noted that the institution continues to receive and consider applications for project financing. All money of the Fund is used exclusively in accordance with the statutory goals and objectives aimed at developing trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, modernizing the economy, attracting new technologies and developing the country’s export potential.
«To date, the Fund has approved financing of three projects for $1,953.6 million. At least $13.7 million out of the Fund’s authorized capital of $16 million is currently on its account in the National Bank. A meeting of the Council was held for the further effective operation of the Fund, as a result of which further priority tasks for the near future were determined,» the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said.
Temirbek Erkinov, adviser to the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, was detained last week as part of a criminal case on corruption. He was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security by a court decision.
