According to him, the UAE also wants to participate in the construction of Chatkal hydroelectric power station.
Akylbek Japarov noted that it is planned to build two stations in Chatkal.
In early January, the Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan signed a roadmap for the joint implementation of the project for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1.
The capacity of the future HPP will be 1,860 megawatts. The HPP reservoir will have a volume of 5.4 billion cubic meters. The plant will produce an average of 5.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
