Import of gold worth more than 300 million soms into Kyrgyzstan without any documents was prevented. Press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
According to it, a JAC car was detained at Ak-Zhol border checkpoint on its way to one of the large gold mining companies in Chui region.
The car transported gold weighing 84 kilograms without documents for the import of goods from the EAEU countries and registration with the tax authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Work is underway to establish the amount of damage caused to the republican budget.
