«The level of e-commerce in Kyrgyzstan will grow in the coming years,» said Marat Cherikchiev, head of Kyrgyz Pochtasy OJSC.
Growth is already underway, he said. Many marketplaces are «entering» the country.
«Thanks to this, we will not only be able to buy a large number of goods, but also to sell. We are a compact country, so we will only grow up,» said Marat Cherikchiev.
Ozon CIS Operations Director Alexey Sapon said that the e-commerce in Kyrgyzstan would grow faster than in Russia.
E-commerce Association President Aibek Kurenkeev gave explanation for this growth. To date, the level of 4G penetration has reached 86 percent. The share of bank account ownership among the adult population is steadily increasing.
«This means that the potential for e-commerce has already accumulated. We expect that in the next two years there will be large investments in infrastructure, logistics, warehouses in the republic,» Aibek Kurenkeev concluded.
