Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz met with Director of the Department of Culture, Education and International Development of the Foreign Ministry of France Marianne Kerr. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, Sadyk Sher-Niyaz noted the start of the work of the Institute of Franco-German Culture in Bishkek and thanked the French side for the decision to establish it. He also proposed to allocate quotas for students from Kyrgyzstan to study at French universities and for French teachers in general education schools in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties also exchanged views on cooperation in the cultural sphere. The Ambassador took the initiative to consider holding a week of Kyrgyz cinema in France, and also, taking into account the experience and achievements of France in the development of culture, it was proposed to organize work to improve the skills of museum workers of Kyrgyzstan in France.
The French side approved the proposal to organize courses for museum workers and additionally confirmed their readiness to send French specialists to train French teachers in Kyrgyzstan, and also informed about the possibility of providing scholarships for students from the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 10 places.
