To date, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has 46.7 tons of gold at its disposal. The official representative of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Karabayeva told journalists.
According to her, this is the precious metal purchased domestically from 2021 to the present.
There are 16 tons in foreign exchange reserves. This is reflected in the report, which says that gold in reserves amounts to 87.3 billion soms. The reserves are estimated at 138.5 billion soms.
«Since February last year, the National Bank has been selling large gold bars weighing from 10.9 to 132 kilograms. But to date, not a single such gold bar has been sold,» Aida Karabayeva said.
