Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart road has been closed, and an emergency situation has been announced in some districts of Naryn region. Press service of the Presidential Envoy to the region reported.
An avalanche reportedly descended at the 302-303rd kilometer of Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart road on February 16. The road was cleared by 0.30 a.m.
However, due to the danger of avalanches in some areas, an emergency situation was introduced by order of the head of Naryn region. For safety reasons, the road is closed for traffic until February 19.
The road will be opened for traffic after forced descent of avalanches in dangerous areas. Until then, drivers are asked to refrain from any trips.
