There are no plans to increase tariffs for irrigation water in Kyrgyzstan yet. Press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
According to it, the Water Resources Service offers to directly supply water to farmers.
Now water is supplied to on-farm canals, and the Association of Water Users is responsible for its distribution among farmers.
The tariffs will not be increased, irrigation water will be supplied to farmers at the current rate of 3 tyiyns per cubic meter. The tariff for its delivery from the Association to farmers is 5-30 tyiyns per cubic meter, the ministry said.
