Checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border will be temporarily closed. The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
«At the initiative of the Chinese side, in connection with the celebration of the Spring Festival in China, Torugart-Avtodorozhny and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhny checkpoints located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border will be temporarily closed from January 21 to January 24,» the statement says.
The passage of people, vehicles and goods through the checkpoint will resume on January 25.
The Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic recalls that Torugart-Avtodorozhny checkpoint continues to work in accordance with a special algorithm that provides only for the movement of vehicles and goods from China to the Kyrgyz Republic.
