Kyrgyzstan should conduct exploration of gas fields in the south of the country. Deputy Eldar Sulaimanov said at a meeting of the Parliament.
He noted that Uzbekistan may refuse to export gas.
«There is no gas in Osh for a week. There is information about a gas field with good reserves in Jalal-Abad. It is necessary to check, clarify the exact volume and calculate how much money will be needed to develop the field. Uzbekistan also has a shortage of gas, and by 2025 they may refuse to export it. If we start developing deposits, then it will be enough for both the population and industry,» Eldar Sulaimanov said.
