The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan is constantly negotiating with the Ministry of Finance on the next increase in the salaries of educators, including teachers of the natural sciences. Officials of the department were asked live whether teachers of the natural sciences would be paid additionally for preparing practical and laboratory work.
«In order to double the salaries of geography teachers only, it is necessary to allocate 733 million soms from the republican budget. Almost 97 million a year is needed to establish additional payments to geography teachers for checking written works and notebooks. The sources of salary increase have not yet been determined,» Azizbek Murataliev said.
He noted that additional payment was provided for language subjects and mathematics only.
