Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov held a meeting on improving the quality of medical services. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The tasks in the field of healthcare for 2023 were considered. Akylbek Japarov instructed the Ministry of Health to develop and present clear standards for the provision of care and services in medical institutions.
«If a patient comes to the hospital, he or she should receive timely qualified medical care. We must have clear, understandable and effective standards for the work of medical staff. New emergency rooms must be built in all hospitals that meet international standards, that are sterile and have the necessary infrastructure. This year it is necessary to make a breakthrough in the development of health care and education. We will put things in order in these areas,» said Akylbek Japarov.
As a result of the meeting, the Ministry of Health was instructed to improve the provision of medical care to children by restoring pediatric services in healthcare organizations and resuming the work of headquarters to study the causes of maternal and child mortality. In addition, the department should resolve the issue of reorganizing the structures of healthcare organizations by separating hospitals and polyclinics, introduce a round-the-clock hotline on issues of non-provision of medical care to the population, and work out the issue of leasing ambulances.
The Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund was instructed to ensure full coverage of the uninsured categories of the population with compulsory health insurance, with the exception of socially vulnerable categories of the population.
