«The EAEU countries need to ensure access to the implementation of joint projects to create modern production facilities,» President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said today at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format.
According to him, it is worth considering the issue of subsidizing priority projects from the EAEU funds. It is necessary to reach a new level.
«The future belongs to unified blocks. Belarus and Russia have already abandoned dollars in many, especially important settlements. It is important that other partners join this process as well. In May, we agreed to consider the issue of removing barriers; we should not have them. This is the essence of our Union,» Alexander Lukashenko said.
At the same time, he stressed that in the EAEU countries it was possible to prevent a deterioration in the standard of living of the population under sanctions.
«To a large extent, this happened thanks to the EAEU. We were able to significantly reduce the negative impact of sanctions and support our economies. But we can’t stop now. It is necessary to pay attention to the strategic directions of the development of the Union,» the leader of Belarus concluded.
