President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Hu Chunhua.
The parties exchanged views on topical issues of further strengthening Kyrgyz-Chinese relations within the framework of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The head of state highly appreciated the level of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations of good neighborliness, friendship, cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership at the current stage, noting with satisfaction the progress of trade and economic cooperation, in particular the implementation of joint economic projects in various fields.
Sadyr Japarov cited as an example the largest transport project for the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway, the implementation of which the parties have already begun.
He noted that the project would have an invaluable positive impact on the economic development of the entire region and would become an important link in the implementation of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s One Belt, One Road initiative.
The President expressed readiness to expand joint cooperation in all ongoing and promising areas of bilateral relations.
Hu Chunhua informed that a group of Chinese specialists had completed field work on the railway construction project and that a feasibility study would be handed over to the Kyrgyz and Uzbek sides in the near future for examination.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of interconnectedness, expressing the hope that the three parties would actively promote this project.
The Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China noted his readiness to continue strengthening international cooperation, adding that the Chinese side was ready to unlock the potential of dialogue with Central Asia, especially in the transport, trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
